Cancer and Hematology Center of the Metropolitano Hospital
We work in the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer in Costa Rica.
Each year, some 11,500 Costa Ricans are diagnosed with cancer and 5,000 lose their battle against this group of diseases. The Cancer and Hematology Center of the Metropolitano Hospital opened its doors in July 2016 precisely to contribute to the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer in Costa Rica.
The Infusion Center of the Cancer and Hematology Center is the site where all intravenous treatments are administered, such as chemotherapy, immunotherapies, antiemetics, and administration of blood transfusions, among others.
